2/29/2016 0 Comments BreadThird shoot for my FMP. I decided to choose a classic bread, cheese and grape set, I was wanting to give a summer feel. I have one problem with this shoot which is the plate in the back being too back, I do wish I had chosen a smaller one. However with the help of David, we made the plate feel a little smaller and the bread be the star of the show.
Unfortunately I have lost some of the progress I did in photoshop with this image as I had totally forgotten to screen shot as I was going a long. However you can see some of the difference from the original to the edited version. Where wasn't much that needed doing as I found these wasn't much that needed enhancing or changing.

2/14/2016 0 Comments PizzaThis shoot took awhile to get right due to the food I was working with. I thought about having this shot with real pizza dough, however from teasing it at home the dough don't stay in the shape that I want. So instead I used a flatbread which would keep its shape but wasn't fully cooked. David had to help a lot with this shoot as the lighting wasn't at its best. thankfully after working with him I created an image I believe will be in my FMP. Here again is my progress from the original to the edited version. This one took me a little longer to complete as hated to make sure all the detail was in the pizza itself. I also had a little trouble getting some of the scratches and marks off the pizza cutter and cheese grater. As you an see from the screen shot of the layers, I enhanced a few of the saturation levels, along with a few layers of curves to take some of the highlights up and down.
2/10/2016 0 Comments Mincepie... Christmas ShootAs Christmas had been and gone this shoot proved difficult to do as I would of liked to do a Christmas cake. Instead I had to think about what I could get a hold of now.. and I thought mincepies. All I needed was pastry and mincemeat with of course props to go with it. For me this shoot says christmas as I always associate them to that time of year. This is part of the process which has gone into creating my final images. Below you can see them original image, post production, the edited images with some of the saturation and curves that I have places over the original image. I realised that this image didn't need much doing to it, only the bring out of the mincemeat with a little highlights put back in on the tray. This image I believe could be a single piece or used within a food magazine or cookbook.
